About Emi
Emi read politics at Newcastle University and gained her PGCE from Oxford Brooks. After a teaching career break, Emi supply-taught during the Covid-19 pandemic, to ‘keep abreast of what still goes on in the classroom’. She has two teenage daughters and feels this stage in her life enables her to relate to parents on the secondary school hunt. Her time living in Singapore and Hong Kong, where her children attended international schools, ensures she keeps international and expat parents in mind. She hopes her reviews ‘help parents get under the skin of a school’ and ‘see beyond aesthetics and academic results.’ Emi covers ‘glorious’ West Sussex and says the best part of her job is, ‘chatting to as many pupils as I can, ideally over a hearty school lunch!’ She has completed up-to-date safeguarding training, including PREVENT, she is also DBS checked.
