About Isabella

She practised for 15 years at 2 Harcourt Buildings (now Henderson Chambers) in various areas of civil law. She sat on the editorial board of ‘Counsel’ magazine, on the chambers management and recruitment committees, on the Inner Temple’s students’ and advocacy committees and served two terms on the Bar’s professional conduct committee.

On leaving the Bar, she helped her husband set up his art business and completed her PGCE. She became Head of Languages at Garden House School in London, where she worked for 10 years. She is now a consultant and writer in the world of education, always a passion, and is a tutor supervising PGCE students doing their in-school training. As a result, she visits dozens of schools, of every size and shape, every year. She is also the safeguarding governor of a girls’ senior school.

She is married, with three semi grown-up children, through whom she has extensive personal experience of the London scene, together with knowledge of boarding schools further afield.
