About Jacqueline
Good humoured, empathetic, and pragmatic, Jacqueline understands the dilemmas parents face in their search for the right school and relishes identifying schools’ unique qualities and ethos in her reviews.
Educated at both a Kent grammar school and Kings’s School Canterbury, followed by an English and drama degree at Exeter, Jacqueline worked as a senior leader in Kent primary schools. Her experience of education, as a child, education professional and now as a parent, spans everything from the 11+ process from preparation to appeals and boarding schools to homeschooling. She has experience of the French and UK education systems, has taught and co-ordinated home school groups, led holistic educational workshops, and is a freelance writer.
Jacqueline also works as a valued SEN consultant. Her first-hand understanding of the challenges involved in finding suitable schools for children with additional needs and navigating the EHCP process gives her a real sense of the complexities, challenges and sensitivity involved. She works with families who have a range of needs, from mild to severe and has a particular interest in emotionally based school avoidance and helping families on their journey through this complex field.
