About Jane
Having studied Modern Languages at Exeter University, Jane pursued a career in investment banking in the City of London, followed by a spell in Hong Kong, before settling in rural Devon. Two daughters later, she found herself consulting the very same manual her parents had used. For Jane, becoming a school reviewer for The Good Schools Guide herself seemed an entirely natural next step.
Having held the post of head of strategic development at The Maynard in Exeter, Jane has experienced first hand what motivates parents in their choice of schools for their offspring and what really matters to them. She brings with her a deep interest in education and in the wellbeing of children, coupled with analytical skills honed during years of researching major international companies whilst in the City. But most importantly, helping parents find the right school for their child is her key driver.
