About Lucy
With a history degree, Lucy taught for ten years in Bristol before moving to run the education and visitor department of an historic cathedral, later becoming a member of the chapter (governing body). With three children, ‘well spread, so we had twenty-six years of school, all of them attending a mixture of state, independent, day and boarding,’ she knows that siblings can have very different needs. ‘Mine are now all though the system and the experience is very fresh, not always in a good way.’ Greatly values contributing to a publication noted for its independence and robust views. ‘I do love finding out what makes a school tick- being a bit nosy helps- and speaking to parents. An excellent library goes straight to my heart!’
