About Selina
She has a wealth of knowledge in international education as the former co-founder of School Notices Asia and consultant for BESSA (British Education and Schools Show in Asia), Talk Education and IvyWise. She previously lived in Singapore, where her own children were educated, and as well as commissioning our team of international writers to review the best schools worldwide, she continues to review schools herself and provides consultancy to parents. She is well-connected with school heads and admissions teams across the globe, has an unrivalled knowledge of the subtle nuances behind different international schools and, with insights gleaned from the many families she talks to, is adept at uncovering what lies behind schools' glossy brochures and polished pitches. Armed with her trusty Good Schools Guide notebook, she relishes every opportunity to visit schools far and wide – her family has grown used to the words, ‘While we’re here, I’ve arranged to visit...’
With a deep understanding of the challenges of moving between curricula and countries, Selina is highly experienced in helping families piece together the puzzle of their child’s schooling. She says, ‘I know how overwhelming it can be to find the right school, especially in unfamiliar territory. I love nothing more than guiding families through that journey.’
