Is it right for me?

Our Classic School Search is ideal for parents who need guidance in compiling a suitable shortlist of schools for their child and are happy to carry out further in-depth research, contact the schools and manage the admissions process themselves.

What is the process?

Your first point of contact will be with a member of our highly experienced office team who will take the time to listen to you and understand your situation so they can suggest the most suitable consultant for your family’s needs.

During your first online meeting with the consultant, they will take care to understand your situation and priorities. You will be sent a detailed report suggesting suitable schools for you to approach. This service includes a follow-up meeting at any point up to a year after your first contact with us to discuss the written report, address any questions you may have and suggest next steps. Classic service clients can upgrade to our Premier School Consultancyat any point if they need additional hands-on support until they have secured a school place.

How long will it take?

At your first meeting the consultant will agree a timeframe with you to deliver the report. This is usually anything from a few days to a few weeks.

What will it cost?

The standard fee for the Classic School Search is £2,500 (including VAT).

We can also arrange bespoke services with individual fees depending on your requirements.

“The Good Schools Guide is my "go to" (excuse the jargon!) advisor on education, and life has been complicated of late so the ability to research schools in different parts of the country has been invaluable.”
