Nursery places are in high demand. For young babies it is worth registering at birth whereas for pre-school places for those aged two and up, registering six to nine months before you want a space should be sufficient. There is a fabulous range of options from forest or beach school focused outdoor education settings to those catering for the tiniest of babies. Our article on choosing a nursery provides insights on the differences between types of setting as well as advice on what to look for and questions to ask.
